My family LOVES these homemade chocolate chip cookies. They are the best combination of soft on the inside, and crunchy on the outside. Try this recipe next time you're headed to a family function or just want something sweet!


The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies


Yield: 14 servings


Ingredients

  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

  • 1/4 cup packed dark sugar

  • 1/2 cup white sugar

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup chocolate chips

How to Make Cookies

Preheat oven to 350°F.

  1. Cut butter into slices and microwave for 40 seconds.

  2. Beat butter and two sugars until fluffy.

  3. Blend in egg and vanilla.

  4. Stir in dry ingredients.

  5. Fold in chocolate chips.

  6. Use cookie scoop to scoop 14 cookies on uncreased cookie sheet, 2 inches apart.

  7. Bake for 10 minutes or until the cookies have golden edges.

  8. Remove the cookies from the oven and let cool.

  9. Serve them right after or store them in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
